What are 11 Plus Exams?
11 Plus Exams (11+ Exams) are standardized examinations administered to some students in England and Northern Ireland in their last year of primary education, which determines admission to Grammar schools and other secondary schools which use academic selection. The 11+ name is derived from the age group for secondary entry: 11–12 years old. These include GL Assessments, CEM, ISEB, and other internal exams for admission into selective secondary schools.

The CEM (Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring) Select Entrance Assessments are designed for selective independent schools, partially-selective state schools, Grammar Schools and schools with fair banding admissions. ISEB

What is ISEB?
The ISEB (The Independent Schools Examinations Board) provides one of the most well-known and respected examinations and assessments for pupils transitioning from prep and junior schools to senior schools in the UK, designing and setting the Common Entrance assessments, which have been used since 1903.
They also currently offer the innovative online and adaptive ISEB Common Pre-Tests (CPT) for senior school entry in addition to ISEB Common Entrance (CE) Examiniations.
